Introduction WeatherTracker provides an easy-to-use interface to the Internet weather servers. It requires a 68020 or higher processor with System 7.0 and MacTCP or OpenTransport. WeatherTracker displays current information for any of over 8000 cities worldwide in three different formats. For cities in North America, temperature, barometric pressure, winds, current conditions, local forecasts, and climatic data are updated hourly. Coastal cities in the United States also have near shore marine forecasts available. Cities outside of North America also have the full set of current data and local forecasts, but may experience periods of limited or non-existant data due to limitations of the particular collection site. Other features available: • text may be copied, printed, or saved to disk • full AppleScript support for retrieval of current data • automatic hourly updates • data logging of hourly data to a file • choice of many different units for display of data • optional display of dewpoint, windchill, and heat index • support for HTTP proxy servers for firewall access
